Volunteers Needed For 2019 Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival

From The City of Clearwater:One of the best festivals in the country on one of the best beaches in the world, the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival Presented by Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, returns to Clearwater Beach for 17 days this year, April 12-28. This festival has become one of Clearwater's most anticipated events and will transform Clearwater Beach into an artistic paradise with a theme of "SEA the World, A Journey Around the Globe."Each year the Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival is a success thanks to the help of people who choose to volunteer.

This year is no different, as more than 1,200 volunteer shifts are needed. "Sand Ambassadors" as the city likes to call them, are needed to work throughout the 17-day event. Volunteers will help in the exhibit area, merchandise area, sand sculpting and giant sandbox area, VIP and entertainment. Those who volunteer will receive a free T-shirt, complimentary meal, complimentary parking and ferry or trolley ride, and free admission to the festival the day of their shift.Businesses can also sign up for a minimum of 10 volunteer shifts. Businesses choosing to do this will receive on-site logo recognition, one social media post, complimentary parking and transportation, volunteer T-shirts and volunteer meals.Tickets for the 2019 Sugar Sand Walk Exhibit and Baystar VIP Lounge are available online now at SugarSandFestival.com. Purchasing tickets online allows you to skip the line when visiting the exhibit.

General admission to the sculpture exhibit will be $10 for adults, $8 for children 4-10 years old and free for children under 3 years of age. Tickets will also be $8 for those 60 and older, military personnel, police officers, firefighters, teachers and AAA Members. These discounted tickets will only be available at the gate with proper identification.
