4. FIU Adam Smith Center welcomes conservative global leaders for fall semester (wlrn.org) — Coral Gables residents may be interested to know that Mayor Vince Lago is serving as a fellow this fall at FIU's conservative Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom. He'll join international political figures like former U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss in leading non-credit study groups on leadership, economic development, and global affairs, as the state-backed center continues to expand its influence.
