• 3 cars torched at construction site in Crystal River, sheriff's office says (wfla.com) — Three vehicles were set on fire Monday night at a Crystal River construction site near North Suncoast Boulevard and West Powerline Street, and investigators are treating the case as arson. The Citrus County Sheriff’s Office is reviewing surveillance video and interviewing witnesses but still needs help from local residents. Anyone with information is urged to contact CCSO or Crime Stoppers. 
• Crystal River man charged after dead puppies found inside home (tampabay28.com) — Deputies conducting a welfare check at a Crystal River home found multiple dead dogs and removed several surviving animals, leading to felony animal cruelty charges against the homeowner. Authorities say the house on West Sandra Street was filled with strong odors and decomposing remains, and the suspect also faces a suspended-license charge. Surviving dogs are now in the care of Citrus County Animal Services.
