• Man hit, killed on Florida's Turnpike leading to lane closures in Miami-Dade, FHP says (cbsnews.com) — Southbound lanes of Florida's Turnpike are shut down at Southwest 216th Street in Cutler Bay after a man standing outside his vehicle was struck and killed early Wednesday, according to state troopers. Drivers from Cutler Bay and nearby neighborhoods are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while investigators work the scene and officials determine when the highway can safely reopen.
