Investigators tied the December 2025 incident to the viral trend, and the teen now faces burglary and criminal mischief charges.

Reported armed carjacking leads to police chase on I-4: Winter Park Police (fox35orlando.com) ā A cross-county police chase on I-4 ended right in Deltona near mile marker 112, where officers took a suspected armed carjacker into custody. Winter Park Police say the vehicle was stolen on Aloma Avenue, and with help from Florida Highway Patrol they pursued it into Volusia County; the suspectās name and charges have not yet been released. Woman jailed in crash that killed Flagler admin, 2 others, gets bond (news-journalonline.com) ā A Deltona motorcyclist was among three people killed in a chain-reaction crash on I-4 near DeBary, and the driver accused of causing it has now been granted bond after prosecutors reversed course. The case centers on whether the Ocala woman was actually driving the SUV, as she faces multiple serious charges tied to the triple-fatal wreck. Ā Ā Ā
