Town leaders are weighing increases, new passes, and peak-season pricing at a budget hearing and council meeting this Wednesday.

Florida Silver Alert Issued for Missing 75-year-old in Fort Myers (bocapost.com) — A Florida Silver Alert is active for 75-year-old Joseph Coviello, last known to be in the Fort Myers area of Lee County, and authorities are asking local residents to watch for him. Fort Myers double murder suspect Rolbert Joachin back in court, waives right to speedy trial (winknews.com) — A man accused of killing two women in Fort Myers returned to court Wednesday and waived his right to a speedy trial, meaning the case will move forward more slowly. Families of the victims, Julia Curvo and Nilufa Easmin, watched as attorneys discussed upcoming depositions and set the next case management hearing for January.

Hooters Employees Bring Bingo Nights and 16,800 Books to Southwest Florida Cancer Patients – WENG 98.1FM, 107.5 FM & 1530 AM (wengradio.com) — Fort Myers Hooters employees are quietly brightening cancer patients' days by hosting monthly "Wingo" bingo nights with dinner and prizes at Lee Health's Cancer Support Community in Fort Myers. They also stock Hootie's Lending Library carts, which have delivered more than 16,800 books and activity materials to hospitals and cancer centers across Southwest and South Florida since 2022.
   

5. Keeping track: New and returning seasonal flights at RSW in Fort Myers (naplesnews.com) — Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers is ramping up for snowbird season with a wave of new and returning seasonal routes that will make it easier for residents and visitors to fly in and out. Airlines like Allegiant, Breeze and others are adding or resuming flights from cities such as Concord, Raleigh-Durham and Trenton starting this fall and into early 2027.
