Pedestrian hit by a car on Cleveland just south of Carrell Road in Fort Myers Wednesday May 27th.

Fort Myers, FL; Intelligence has been received of a car vs pedestrian collision that occurred around roughly 10:45 pm Wednesday May 27th, 2026 on US 41/Cleveland Avenue in Fort Myers. According to intelligence, a car being driven by a man from Glen Ellyn, Illinois struck a male pedestrian on foot while southbound on Cleveland Avenue just south of Carrell Road in Fort Myers. The impact launched the pedestrian roughly 75 feet into the air where he then crashed back down onto the street pavement. The southbound side of Cleveland was blocked off by police cars, a fire truck, and an ambulance. The victim was taken to the hospital, last known in critical condition.
