Tracy Mcmillion Promoted To Fort Myers Fire Chief

Interim Fire Chief Tracy McMillion has been promoted to chief of the Fort Myers Fire Department.

FORT MYERS, FL (Dec. 20, 2019) –Interim Fire Chief Tracy McMillion has been promoted to Chief of the Fort Myers Fire Department. Previously a firefighter paramedic with FMFD, McMillion went on to serve the Iona McGregor Fire District (IMFD) as a firefighter paramedic prior to his promotion to Training Captain and then IMFD Division Chief of Training in 2015. McMillion was appointed Interim Chief in November 2019 following the resignation of former Fire Chief John Caufield.

McMillion has been an EMT Adjunct Professor at Florida SouthWestern State College, an Instructor and Fire Academy Coordinator at the Fort Myers Fire Academy, and has been accepted into the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer Program.
