• Lightning may be to blame for Orange County apartment fire that displaced families (clickorlando.com) — A Seminole County deputy was indirectly struck by lightning in Geneva during the same stormy weekend that likely sparked a major apartment fire in Orange County. Several families were displaced after five units were left uninhabitable, and officials warn that frequent lightning strikes are making this stretch of Central Florida weather especially dangerous. Red Cross volunteers are assisting those forced from their homes.
