• Groveland police sergeant suspended after report says he used emergency lights, drove more than 100 mph to work (clickorlando.com) — A Groveland police sergeant was disciplined after investigators found he repeatedly used emergency lights and drove at very high speeds on his commute without any active emergency calls. He received a short suspension, lost his take-home car temporarily, and was placed on probation, while some residents questioned whether the punishment was strict enough. State officials are now reviewing the case for any further action.
