Residents say they're trapped in construction zone as Memorial Regional expansion grows (local10.com) — Homeowners east of Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood say they’re living in a noisy, disruptive construction zone as the hospital’s major expansion swallows their neighborhood and vacant lots become staging areas. Several remaining residents have hired an eminent-domain attorney, arguing the South Broward Hospital District’s voluntary buyout offers won’t let them afford comparable homes and questioning why the City of Hollywood permits construction uses in their residential streets. 
2. Authorities release bodycam footage of tense encounters at Hollywood Police Dept. with NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp (wsvn.com) — Police bodycam footage shows a series of heated run-ins between Warren Sapp and officers at Hollywood Police Department and Hollywood City Hall, where he’s accused of disrupting staff and violating facility rules. A judge has ordered him to stay away from the records division and certain city staff after these confrontations, some of which included crude and offensive remarks.
3. ‘Juvenile delinquent' charged in series of South Florida swatting calls, BSO says (nbcmiami.com) — Hollywood residents were among the targets of a cross-country swatting spree, with fake reports of bombs, shootings, and even “suicide vests” at local homes and locations. Authorities say a 16-year-old from New York is now facing 27 felony charges tied to 13 Broward incidents, including several in Hollywood, after investigators linked him to dozens of threats nationwide.
4. Hollywood man dies after being shot at gas station, crashing into SUV in Pembroke Park (wsvn.com) — A 32-year-old Hollywood man died at Memorial Regional Hospital after being shot during a confrontation at a Pembroke Park gas station, then crashing his car while trying to flee. Broward Sheriff’s Office investigators are still searching for the shooter and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
5. Adrien Broner On Kick: Quotes From His Wild Stream Run (boxinginsider.com) — Hollywood boxing fans may remember Adrien Broner’s last fight, a June 2024 decision loss to Blair Cobbs at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood.
