• BMW reached 108 mph before deadly crash that killed 14-year-old walking to Publix (cbs12.com) — A June crash on Hypoluxo Road involved a BMW allegedly racing with four other cars before striking and killing a 14-year-old boy walking to Publix. Investigators say the BMW hit speeds over 100 mph in a 45-mph zone, leading to a vehicular homicide charge against the driver and renewed concern about dangerous speeding on local roads.
