Funds will support Ability Housing’s efforts to address housing insecurity in Florida. Access to safe, stable, affordable housing is recognized as one of the most impactful social determinants of health, defined by the World Health Organization as conditions in which people are born, live, grow and work that significantly impact their health outcomes.
“We are so grateful for this award, which will advance our work to provide Florida families with a safe, affordable, reliable home,” says Shannon Nazworth, President and CEO of Ability Housing. “Housing is health care, and there is nothing more important right now as we continue to recover from the pandemic. We are proud to be a leader for change in the community and will continue to work to bring affordable housing to our neighbors across Florida.”
