Flooding from burst pipe at Springfield Boys & Girls Club forces temporary relocation (news4jax.com) — A burst pipe has badly flooded The Bridge Boys & Girls Club in Jacksonville's Springfield neighborhood, forcing months-long repairs and disrupting after-school care for about 100 elementary-age children. Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida plans to temporarily move kids to the Brentwood Club nearby and is asking the community for support to replace damaged floors, equipment, and school supplies.
3. Jacksonville International Airport expansion to add gates, restaurants and passenger amenities (actionnewsjax.com) — Jacksonville travelers will soon see a big upgrade at Jacksonville International Airport, with a new Concourse B adding six gates, seven restaurants, lounges, and family-friendly amenities. A ribbon-cutting is set for January 27, with flights starting from the expanded concourse later that month, promising more options and comfort for local flyers.
4. One person dead after a shooting on Broward Road on Friday night (actionnewsjax.com) — A man in his 30s was shot and killed Friday evening on Broward Road near Interstate Center Drive on Jacksonville's Northside, close to a convenience store off I-95.
