Early Learning Coalition Of Duval Names Dr. Letisha Jefferson, Sarah Jeck Hulsberg, To Board

More than 12,000 children receive school readiness services and more than 9,000 4-year-olds are enrolled in VPK in Duval County through ELC.

The Early Learning Coalition of Duval (ELC) announced that Dr. Letisha Jefferson and Sarah Jeck Hulsberg, Esq. have been named to the Board of Directors.

“We are pleased that Dr. Jefferson and Ms. Hulsberg are joining the board at this exciting time. The addition of these members complements our current board, and I am confident that they will provide valuable perspectives. They are passionate about children's issues, and I look forward to their contributions," stated President and CEO Denise Marzullo.

Dr. Letisha Jefferson is a partner at The Carithers Pediatric Group. She received her bachelor's and medical degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Subsequently, Dr. Jefferson completed her Pediatric Residency and a Chief Resident year at the University of Tennessee in Memphis where she trained at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. She resides in Jacksonville.

Sarah Jeck Hulsberg is an associate attorney at Murphy & Anderson, P.A., where she focuses on business litigation. Sarah earned her law degree from the University of Florida. Prior to attending law school, Sarah graduated with her bachelor's degree in Political Science from the Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College at Florida Atlantic University. She resides in Jacksonville.

The Early Learning Coalition of Duval is a non-profit organization that serves as the one-stop resource for information about Jacksonville's early learning services. More than 12,000 children receive school readiness services, and more than 9,000 4-year olds are enrolled in VPK in Duval County through ELC.

ELC of Duval helps:

  • families get their children into early learning care,
  • provide child care financial assistance, and
  • child care providers improve the quality of their early learning programs.
