First Coast Chem-Dry to Participate in Local Strut Your Mutt Fundraising Event

Jacksonville, Fla. – In an effort to continue its mission of helping families and their pets maintain a healthy and happy home, First Coast Chem-Dry will be supporting the local Strut Your Mutt fundraising event, hosted by Best Friends Animal Society, to help shelter pets find their forever homes. Taking place on September 30 at Riverside Park, the event will feature a charity pet parade, product giveaways, doggie massages, pet portraits, music, contests and more.

Best Friends Animal Society’s Strut Your Mutt, an annual fundraising event, is a series of charity walks and family-friendly activities that bring entire communities together to raise money toward saving the lives of homeless pets. Tripp House, local franchise owner of First Coast Chem-Dry, will be supporting the community event by selling t-shirts, hosting a Facebook Live Broadcast educating pet owners on how to create a healthy home, and providing one lucky winner with a Chem-Dry gift card valued at $250.

So finding a way to recognize and support them in Jacksonville, and even more so finding new homes for rescue pets looking for a permanent home, is important to us,” House stated. “We are thrilled to be taking part in an event for such an important cause.”

Chem-Dry’s effort to raise funds for Best Friends, in a program they’ve nicknamed “Cleaning for the Paws,” is inspired by a national consumer survey conducted last year, which illustrated the importance of clean, healthy homes for pet owners. The study found that a full 80 percent of pet owners have experienced pet urine accidents in the home. Despite that fact and the other pet-related challenges they face, 65 percent of homeowners with pets would go to any cost to keep their pets.

This year, Chem-Dry has committed to raising a minimum of $25,000 in donations for Best Friends Animal Society through a series of community fundraising efforts. In addition to supporting the Strut Your Mutt events in markets across the country, Chem-Dry will help raise funds and increase the number of shelter pet adoptions through the sale of specially marked cans of Chem-Dry World Famous Spot Remover – with each can generating a $1 donation to Best Friends – plus customer add-on donations, local promotional offers with a built-in donation, and direct online donations at Chem-Dry Cares.
