The City of Jacksonville is featured in the U.S. Census Bureau Atlanta Region’s “2021 Census Best Practices Showcase” for its successful efforts to boost participation in the 2020 Census.

Some of the highlights of the strategic plan include a collaborative program with 115 partnering organizations and more than 750 community ambassadors; the creation of the Duval Counts Complete Count Committee; and a $150,000 localized media campaign.
The effort to expand outreach and engagement resulted in a 4.5% increase in self-response from 2010 and a rise in rank from number 22 out of 67 Florida counties to number 11.
