WHO/WHAT: FIS Chief People Officer Denise Williams, FIS Chief Risk Officer Greg Montana, KIPP Bold City High School Leader Katie Penkala and Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp Executive Vice President/General Manager Harold Craw will be available for interviews about the importance of this partnership. On educating today’s African American youth in Jacksonville, Craw, who is a member of Minor League Baseball's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee, said, “We are honored to be part of this special relationship with FIS and KIPP Schools. It is so important that we help our underserved communities by educating them on the past and what opportunities are available in the future. Tonight, by honoring the Negro Leagues, its players, and its history, we are recognizing giants of the past through education, while building giants of the future.”
KIPP Jacksonville Schools were built on the mission to prepare students from Jacksonville’s North and Westside communities with the knowledge, skills, habits, and character for success in college and life. KIPP Bold City High School will be the organization’s first high school. As 9th graders get ready for their first year of high school at KIPP Bold City, school leaders and FIS will work together to:

WHERE/WHEN: Interviews will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the field (warning track behind home plate) at 121 Financial Ballpark. Media will need a credential for access into the ballpark, as the Jumbo Shrimp play a game beginning at 6:35 p.m. Media is welcome to stay for the game to film b-roll.
