When: Tuesday, October 19, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Why:   “We are excited to expand our services beyond the hospital. This opportunity will provide increased patient access and convenience for existing and new patients,” said Dianne Johnson, MD, Director of Breast Imaging at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville. “The imaging center will provide women with easy access to screening mammography, ultrasound exams, bone density and other important imaging requests.”

The new Women’s Health Center will also offer a spa-like setting that provides a warm and inviting environment to help patients feel at ease when they visit for imaging exams or OBGYN services. “Our new Center is also ideal for those seeking a half-way point from our hospital and their home. We recognize that women have unique health care needs and our research shows there are limited women’s services in this part of the community and we are responding to this access need.”

WOW: The approximately 6,300 square foot facility is being leased by Memorial Hospital who invested $3 million in renovation costs and state of the art technology. It is the hospital’s first Women’s Health Center and is part of an important strategy that focuses on women’s health and well-being. The hospital’s parent company, HCA Healthcare, is planning for other similar sites in Northeast Florida.
