The new center opens to the public on October 12, 2021. Its hours will be:

Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.Where:445 S.R. 13 N., Suite 25St. Johns, FL 32259

Why:

The blood bank now provides blood for approximately 70 percent of all hospital beds in Northeast Florida. LifeSouth is the primary provider of blood to local hospitals such as Baptist Medical Center Beaches, Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, Baptist Medical Center Nassau, Baptist Medical Center South, Memorial Hospital, Orange Park Medical Center, UF Health Jacksonville, UF Health North and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.On-site interviews can be arranged with advance coordination. Representatives from LifeSouth will be available to discuss how LifeSouth is addressing the national blood shortage in our community, donor eligibility requirements and the impact of each donation.
