“I am excited to fill this big role as Real Men Wear Pink of the First Coast prepares to once again have a huge positive impact in the lives of women, and men, undergoing breast cancer treatment in our community,” said Mr. Campione, owner of Campione Law. “After a challenging prior year for the organization, we are honored to lead the efforts for this year’s campaign. We are aiming for a record-breaking one!” said Mr. Iracki, a shareholder at Coker Law, and one of the biggest fundraisers in the history of the local Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

During 2020, the local chapter of Real Men Wear Pink saw a more than 80% drop in donations, a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. “2020 was a tough year for everyone, but add to that a breast cancer diagnosis and that’s when you really need your community to rally around you and your loved ones. Real Men Wear Pink of the First Coast is here to do just that,” adds Anne Taylor, Senior Corporate Relations Manager for the American Cancer Society. “We have heard so many anecdotes this past year from women who had to miss their annual mammogram, and that delay turned what would have been a stage 1 prognosis into a stage 4 diagnosis. We want to be able to provide support to our local breast cancer patients now when they need it most.”

Real Men Wear Pink of the First Coast has already recruited close to 30 local corporate and community leaders to participate in this year’s fundraising campaign. Each Real Men Wear Pink participant is challenged with a fundraising goal of a minimum $2,500 from August 1 until the end of October, and the opportunity to compete to be recognized as the top fundraiser by the end of the campaign, all while donning their best pink attire. There is still time to nominate a candidate, please visit Real Men Wear Pink of the First Coast online.
