Leadership Jacksonville Awards Ju'Coby Pittman, Welcomes Nancy Broner And Linda Berry Stein

Leadership Jacksonville, an organization that educates, connects and inspires diverse leaders to build and strengthen their communities, recognized Ju’Coby Pittman as the 2020 Tillie K. Fowler Distinguished Leadership Award recipient. The Tillie K. Fowler Distinguished Leadership Award is presented to a graduate of the Leadership Jacksonville program who has remained active in Leadership Jacksonville. The award is based on exemplary community service with outstanding results produced in one or more community or LJ projects or efforts. The award also requires that the recipient demonstrates Leadership Jacksonville’s core values.

Ju’Coby Pittman is a proud native of Jacksonville, who has devoted her career to the advancement of city services, veteran’s advocacy, and innovative community development. Her public service has been guided by a simple philosophy, “Go out of your comfort zone to make a difference”. She has served the Jacksonville community faithfully for more than 30 years. She is a graduate of Leadership Jacksonville Class of 1993 and currently serves as CEO/President of the Clara White Mission and as Jacksonville City Council Member for District 8.

• Nancy Broner, Executive Director Emerita of OneJax, volunteer and former member and past chairman of the Duval County Public School Board. Nancy has worked to improve the Jacksonville community in many roles, through her service in elected office and on various nonprofit boards and task forces.

• Linda Berry Stein, committed community leader, volunteer, and philanthropist. Linda has been particularly active with causes related to the Jacksonville Humane Society, arts, education, Jacksonville University, and the mentoring of students at UNF and JU. Her work has included board service as well as extensive committee work. Honorary membership is conferred by Leadership Jacksonville on outstanding community leaders who have not participated in the Leadership Jacksonville adult programs but who have made a major contribution to better the community and who demonstrate Leadership Jacksonville’s core values.
