Leadership Jacksonville Seeks Unsung COVID Leaders To Be Honored

Nominees may include students, educators, medical or government workers, first responders, nonprofit or corporate employees, or others.

Everyday citizens have exhibited extraordinary leadership and commitment to others in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Leadership Jacksonville seeks online nominations for people to be recognized as “Unsung COVID Leaders”. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, March 5, 2021 at www.leadershipjax.org.

Nominations are required to include an account of the nominee’s success story and a reference to support the nomination.

“Unsung COVID Leaders” will be honored at Leadership Jacksonville’s Celebration event which annually recognizes outstanding community leaders, benefiting Youth Leadership Jacksonville. Celebration 2021 will premiere virtually on Tuesday, May 25. This year’s honorees will demonstrate the leadership needed to solve complex community issues. “We are looking for honorees who have taken action for the greater good of our community — those who demonstrate values of ethical leadership, respecting and valuing others,” said Leadership Jacksonville Chief Executive Officer Jill Langford Dame.

“Unsung COVID Leader” Nominations

• Nominees should live or work in the five-county area (Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau or St. Johns)

• Nominees may be any age, youth or adult

• Nominees may include students, educators, medical professionals, government workers, first responders, nonprofit or corporate sector employees or other individuals

• Some nominees will be selected to share their story by video during the Celebration 2021 program
