WHAT: LifeSouth Community Blood Centers and Memorial Hospital will host a community blood drive on Feb. 10 and 11, 2021. LifeSouth is currently in emergency need for all blood types, but especially type O blood. All eligible blood donors are encouraged to attend this two-day drive to support the local blood supply. All donors will receive a limited-edition T-shirt, gift card and COVID-19 antibody screening. Masks and social distancing will be enforced.

The LifeSouth bloodmobile will be parked next to the parking garage, parallel to University Blvd. Blood donors may park in the parking garage.

WHY: A nationwide blood shortage continues to impact the local blood supply. As Valentine’s Day approaches, LifeSouth and Memorial Hospital encourage Northeast Florida residents to show love for the community by donating blood. Every day, local hospitals rely on volunteer blood donors to ensure an adequate supply is available to treat patients.
