The Child Cancer Fund is a grassroots organization founded in 1994 to serve parents and children in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia by helping them through the challenges of childhood cancer. The organization’s focus is to provide emotional, practical, educational, and financial support to families during the healthcare journey.

The organization partners with Nemours Children’s Specialty Care and Wolfson Children’s Hospital to implement programs and services through play activities at the hospitals, making a family house or car payment, providing educational material, or a fun family weekend at Camp Boggy Creek in Eustis, Fla., among others. Also, the non-profit established the Christy Fund is an endowment established in memory of Christy Keirnan to ensure funding for the Child Life Specialist position at Nemours Children's Specialty Care. A crucial role on the child's healthcare team, the Child Life Specialist provides a friendly face to an otherwise frightened child.
