Riverside Post Acute in Jacksonville Welcomes Dr. Dany Hajjar to Clinical Leadership

Riverside Post Acute welcomes Dany Hajjar, MD, a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) specialist, to its clinical leadership. Dr. Hajjar brings more than 20 years of experience across acute and post-acute care settings to this new leadership role at the Jacksonville skilled nursing center.

PM&R focuses on the restoration of health and function with an integrated treatment plan including pain management and physical therapy. Dr. Hajjar, who is fluent with English, French and Arabic, is board certified in internal medicine. He also serves as a hospitalist at Baptist Health and is president of Hajjar Medical P.A.

“Dr. Hajjar is highly regarded in the region for his PM&R expertise and compassionate, patient-centered care,” said Pam Montemurno, regional director of market development at Marquis Health Consulting Services, which supports Riverside. “He is working closely with Riverside’s leadership and the interdisciplinary teams guiding its specialty clinical programs.”

Located at 1750 Stockton Street, Riverside Post Acute provides post-hospital care, short-term rehab and long-term residential care. The center is nearing the completion of a multi-million-dollar update, having upgraded its long-term care resident rooms and subacute wing, as well as the front entrance and courtyard along the St. John’s River. Programming highlights include the opening of the Journeys Memory Care neighborhood, a person-centered, comprehensive memory care model. As part of the final phase of the modernization, renovation work is well underway for Riverside’s expanded therapy gym.
