2. Lady Lake Farmers and Crafts Market returning in October (villages-news.com) — Lady Lake’s popular Farmers and Crafts Market is reopening Oct. 6 at Rolling Acres Sports Complex, with weekly Tuesday hours from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Expect 60 regular vendors, live music, Market Bucks giveaways, and themed events like a Strawberry Festival and Pet Costume Contest, all easily accessible by golf cart and other mobility options.
   

3. Intoxicated intruder shows up at bank renovation site in The Villages (villages-news.com) — A Lady Lake resident was arrested after allegedly attacking a construction worker at a Seacoast Bank renovation site in Spanish Springs Town Square, just outside town. Lady Lake police say the intoxicated man hit a worker, took his phone when 911 was mentioned, and briefly fled before returning. He was booked into Lake County Jail on multiple charges, including robbery and battery.
   

4. Sumter County removing all Flock cameras after order from state (villages-news.com) — Sumter County has shut down and is removing all Flock license plate cameras after a directive from Gov. Ron DeSantis, and the Lady Lake police chief says the department is complying as well.
