ā¢ Shelter dog of the week: Cheech (gazettenewsthevillages.com) ā A local shelter in Lake Panasoffkee is urgently seeking adopters for Cheech, an affectionate 8-year-old mixed-breed dog who gets along well with other pets and children. With adoption fees currently waived and all animals fully vetted and microchipped, residents can visit the over-capacity shelter daily from noon to 6 p.m. to meet Cheech and other dogs needing homes.
