4 Injured After Truck Slams Into Light Pole, Bursts Into Flames

LAKELAND, FL – Four individuals were injured Tuesday night in a three-vehicle crash after a truck struck a light pole and caught fire near the intersection of Winter Lake Road and Highway 98 S. in Lakeland, according to officials.
Polk County Fire Rescue responded at 8 p.m. and doused the burning truck with 500 gallons of water. Shortly after firefighters arrived, the light pole fell, the agency said.
Three adults and one child were transported to Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center.
