Arrest Made In Sexual Assault At Trailhead Park In Winter Haven
Fifty-eight-year-old Frederick Duchin was charged with armed sexual battery for the attack on a woman who was feeding feral cats.

WINTER HAVEN, FL — Winter Haven police have made an arrest in the Aug. 27 attack in Trailhead Park.
On Aug. 27, around 11 p.m., a woman was at Trailhead Park feeding cats in the area as she commonly does. As she walked back to her car, she was approached by a Hispanic man who placed something against her back as he pushed her against her car. The man began cutting off her shirt from the back and physically assaulted the woman. He then walked off while laughing, said Winter Haven police.

Fifty-eight-year-old Frederick Duchin was arrested by Winter Haven police on an unrelated drug charge on Sept. 11.
During a search of his possessions, officers located a box cutter in his pocket. An officer also noticed Duchin resembled the man in the composite sketch drawn with the help of the victim.

Detectives went to the Central County Jail where he was being held on the drug charge and interviewed Duchin who admitted to seeing the victim at the park on two occasions.
Detectives show the victim a photo array and she positively identified Duchin as her attacker.
Duchin was charged with armed sexual battery.
