Dallas Police Arrest Man Wanted in Largo Sexual Assault
The man wanted in connection with an Aug. 18 sexual assault is now behind bars.

The Largo man police say is responsible for breaking into a womanβs home in August and sexually assaulting her is now behind bars in Dallas.
Timothy J. Davenport, 28, was identified as the suspect in the case on Aug. 29. Acting on tips that came in following that announcement, Largo Police notified authorities in Dallas that their suspect might be in the area. As it turned out, Dallas had local warrants out for his arrest, as well, an email from the Largo Police Department said.
Davenport was brought into custody late Friday night, the email said.

The incident that put Largo Police on his trail unfolded in the early morning hours of Aug. 18 when a man broke into a home near 6th Street Northwest and sexually assaulted a woman at knifepoint.
While it is unclear what charges Davenport faces in Dallas, Largo police intend to charge him with armed sexual battery, armed burglary and kidnapping.

Pinellas County Jail records also indicate Davenport was arrested in 2011 on a domestic battery charge.
