Largo moves to rein in problem vacation rentals (stpetecatalyst.com) — Largo officials have approved strict new rules for short‑term vacation rentals, requiring annual registration, safety inspections and a $600 fee starting Jan. 1, 2027. The ordinance also limits occupancy and parking, mandates a 24‑hour contact person, and adds a chronic nuisance process, with city leaders promising dedicated enforcement so nearby residents see fewer late‑night party problems.

Silver Alert Issued For 78-Year-Old Largo Man Last Seen In Dunedin (tampafp.com) — Deputies have issued a Silver Alert for 78‑year‑old Alvin Longgood of Largo, who was last seen Tuesday night leaving Dunedin Lanes in a gray 2015 Ford Fusion. Because he has medical and memory issues, authorities consider him endangered and urge anyone who spots him or his car to contact law enforcement immediately.
   

4. Terrion Arnold Tampa kidnapping case: Co-defendant pleads guilty, agrees to testify (fox13news.com) — A high-profile Tampa kidnapping and armed robbery case has ties to an Airbnb in Largo that police say NFL cornerback Terrion Arnold rented before a violent confrontation over allegedly stolen valuables. One co-defendant has now pleaded guilty and agreed to testify, while Arnold remains on bond and on the NFL's exempt list as Florida prosecutors prepare for trial.
   

5. Largo man forced to start over after losing RV, belongings and dog in fire (fox13news.com) — A 26‑year‑old Largo man is rebuilding his life after a fire destroyed the RV he'd just begun calling home, along with nearly all his belongings and his dog. Local nonprofit Forgotten Angels has taken him back in and is collecting donations, giving Largo residents a way to support a neighbor facing sudden loss and starting over again.
