Who Drove Into Palm Trees & Ditched Dodge Durango In Largo?

BREAKING: Troopers are looking for a white man in his 40s with a cut across his nose.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL – The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the individual who on Wednesday night in Largo ran off the road, drove into a grove of palm trees then locked up his car and fled on foot.

Troopers said the incident occurred at about 10:05 p.m. when the driver of a 2003 Dodge Durango failed to negotiate a curve on the 12000 block of 135th Avenue North and collided with several palm trees.

The motorist reportedly attempted to reverse to leave the scene, realized the vehicle was immobilized, locked it up and took off, troopers said.

Witnesses described the hit-and-run suspect as a white male with short-cut brown hair, blue eyes, about 170 pounds, 5 feet, 8 inches tall and between 40 to 45 years of age. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and shorts and had a cut across his nose.
