Stolen Car Crashes Into House, SUV in St. Petersburg

Three hospitalized after the incident. Charges pending against 18-year-old driver, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – UPDATED: THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 11 a.m.

Charges are pending this morning against an 18-year-old who allegedly was behind the wheel of a stolen Mustang when it crashed into a home and an SUV, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Police said Ali Granville was speeding when he ran a stop sign at 35th Street South and 21st Avenue South hitting a mother and her 14-year old son in an SUV and crashing into a vacant house on the 2000 block of 35th Street South.

The three individuals were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.

THURSDAY, MARCH 23, 10:09 a.m.

St. Petersburg police this morning are at the scene of an accident involving a stolen Mustang that hit an SUV and then crashed into a vacant house, according to officials.

The crash, on the 2000 block of 35th Street South, sent three individuals to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
