• Lecanto mobile home seriously damaged by fire, 2 pets killed and multiple rescued: CCFR (fox13news.com) — A weekend mobile home fire in Lecanto seriously damaged a residence and killed two pets, but no people were inside or injured. Citrus County Fire Rescue crews battled heavy flames and a partial roof collapse while rescuing several other animals. Officials say the blaze appears electrical and are urging residents to check outdoor wiring, test smoke alarms, and include pets in emergency plans.
