• SCFD and SFD recently presented LMHS Junior Lincoln Sharpe with a Citizen's Award and Honorary Firefighter Badge (mysanfordherald.com) — A Long Pond Drive family in Longwood escaped a devastating house fire thanks to the quick actions of 16-year-old Lake Mary High student Lincoln Sharpe, who woke eight relatives and got them and their dogs out safely. Seminole County and Sanford firefighters later honored him with a Citizen’s Award and Honorary Firefighter badge, while also recovering a few cherished family keepsakes from the destroyed home.
