$5M FL Lottery Prize Claimed By Trinidadian Man In Miami

A man visiting from Trinidad won $5M playing the Gold Rush Limited scratch-off game in Miami, Florida Lottery said.

MIAMI, FL — A 57-year-old Trinidadian man won the $5 million top prize from the Gold Rush Limited scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said in a news release.

Guman Redoy of St. Joseph chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3.96 million. He claimed his prize at the Florida Lottery’s district office in Miami.

Redoy purchased his winning ticket from Infoplace USA at 11401 Northwest 12th Street in Miami. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning ticket.

Gold Rush Unlimited, a $20 scratch-off game, features 32 top prizes of $5 million and 100 prizes of $1 million. This ticket is also filled with more than 33,000 prizes of $1,000 to $100,000.
