Barcelona Calls And Texts Free For AT&T Customers
AT&T announced that it will waive or credit calls from the United States to Barcelona in the aftermath of Thursday's terror attack

DALLAS, TX — Wireless carrier AT&T has announced that its customers can check on relatives and friends in Barcelona without fear of incurring costs. The company made the gesture within hours after the the Spanish city suffered what appeared to be a massive terror attack on Thursday. The Associated Press reported that 13 people were killed and 100 people injured when a white van mowed down pedestrians along one of Barcelona's most popular tourist areas.

"AT&T will waive or credit charges incurred for consumer calls placed by AT&T’s customers from the United States to Barcelona between August 17th to August 19th in the local time zone," company spokeswoman Kelly Starling told Patch. Dozens of bloodied and battered victims could be seen sprawled out on the ground in one of Spain's most important cities, according to AP.
"Our thoughts are with the people of Barcelona and our customers who have friends and family there," Starling added.
