Love of Urban Design & Councilwoman Linda Julien Announce LOUD WEEK Returning to Miami Gardens

Miami Gardens, Fla.— Miami Gardens Councilwoman Linda Julien and Love of Urban Design (LOUD®) are pleased to announce that its signature creative Art Basel cultural fashion & art festival series, LOUD WEEK, is returning to Miami Gardens this fall from December 1-4, 2026. LOUD and art education champion, Councilwoman Julien, are also launching a new student art internship program for students in grades 9-12 interested in learning more about fashion, art, culture, music, and event management.
The new intern program just kicked off this month in collaboration with Miami-Dade County’s Summer Youth Internship Program, with a full team of high school students interested in working on creative artistic projects. “Investing in art education and internships is essential for our bright creative youth here in Miami Gardens and beyond. This program is a great way to be a part of South Florida’s most innovative and inspiring cultural art and fashion events of the year,” said Councilwoman Linda Julien.
Now in its sixth year, LOUD Week has become one of Miami’s most talked-about urban art and fashion festivals merging artistry, equity, fashion, and cultural innovation into an immersive four-day celebration that amplifies diverse voices and transforms Miami Gardens into the epicenter of urban creativity. “LOUD Week™ is a movement in which the boldness of our culture meets the brilliance of creative expression. With this new internship program, we’re aiming to foster new creative young people and their passions and gifts in the art and fashion industries,” said Dr. Karine Melissa, founder and co-owner of LOUD Love of Urban Design®. “We’ve built a platform that gives artists, designers, and entrepreneurs from our communities a global stage to live ARTistically LOUD — unapologetically and creatively.”
Founded by Karine Melissa, LOUD has produced and hosted one of the leading art and fashion festivals for the culture during Miami’s internationally recognized Art Basel season. “We’re excited to begin planning and organizing for another incredible LOUD Week in the city of Miami Gardens this fall and celebrate some incredible local and global fashion brands, visual artists, and entertainers,” Melissa stated.
