Following the successful completion of the project's pre-construction test piles, Ombelle Fort Lauderdale has reached a significant construction milestone, marking the transition from early site preparation to the next phase of development. Early site work included soil testing, asphalt removal and the relocation of mature mango trees as part of the project's Ombelle Cares initiative, which reflects its commitment to environmental responsibility and thoughtful development. With test piling now complete and drilling underway, the project continues to make significant progress toward its anticipated 2028 completion. As part of the development, the developer has also committed millions of dollars to upgrading existing aging water and sewer infrastructure to help ensure the city can keep pace with its needs and the additional demand Ombelle will bring.
Ombelle Fort Lauderdale is being developed by Sky Equity Group, the New York City-based real estate development firm founded by Simon Dushinsky, through its South Florida division, Dependable Equities.
