Royal Dames of Cancer Research Celebrates Sold-Out ‘Dancing Queens’ Fall Luncheon & Fashion Show

Royal Dames of Cancer Research, Inc. recently welcomed over 220 guests to its sold-out annual Fall Luncheon & Fashion Show at Lauderdale Yacht Club, kicking off the organization’s 2026 “Dancing Queens”-themed Tiara Ball season while raising support and awareness for its mission to fund cancer research.

The Oct. 1 luncheon brought together Royal Dames members, community leaders, philanthropists and supporters for an afternoon celebrating fashion, friendship and philanthropy. The event featured a runway fashion show presented by The Colonnade Outlets, with professional models showcasing high-end couture and elegant fashions from renowned luxury designers.

Guests also had opportunities to support Royal Dames’ mission through live and silent auctions featuring a variety of experiences and packages, as well as shopping from participating vendors.

“The Fall Luncheon is always such a special way to bring our community together and begin another Tiara Ball season,” said Sophia Mylona, president of Royal Dames of Cancer Research. “We are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us and continues to support our mission of advancing cancer research.”

The luncheon officially kicked off the countdown to the 56th Annual Tiara Ball Gala, taking place Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa. Chaired by Bonnie Mitten, the “Dancing Queens”-themed gala will feature Broadway entertainment, a special guest appearance by Tony Dovolani of Dancing with the Stars and his dance troupe, fine dining and dancing while raising funds in support of cancer research at Nova Southeastern University (NSU).

For more than five decades, Royal Dames of Cancer Research has united dedicated volunteers and community supporters around its mission. Since its founding in 1969, the organization has contributed more than $7.68 million in support of cancer research at NSU.
