BROWARD COUNTY, FL — A man dressed in a Spider-Man costume robbed a woman leaving a laundromat Monday night in Broward County, according to multiple reports.

The woman asked Lequan Payne, 36, who was wearing bright yellow shorts and the black Symbiote Spider-Man costume, if she could take his picture as he bicycled past the laundromat, Local 10 News reported.

Later that evening, as she left the laundromat, the Hollywood man hit her in the back of the head. Cash fell out of her pocket and Payne grabbed it, stealing $45 from her before leaving the scene, according to NBC Miami.

Hollywood police eventually tracked him down — he was found still wearing his Spider-Man costume — and arrested him, the Miami Herald said.

Broward County court records show that Payne was charged with felony robbery without a firearm or weapon and resisting an officer, a misdemeanor.
