Here are the top five stories today in Miami:
1. A candidate for Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, Martha Bueno, is using OnlyFans to promote her campaign. In one video Bueno says, "I thought you were a Republican. That's so kinky." As of Monday, she had about 50 OnlyFans subscribers paying $4.99 a month to access her content. (Miami Patch)
2. The Greater Miami and the Beaches Hotel Association is forming a developers' council. More than 8,000 additional rooms are projected to come into the South Florida market over the next year three years, highlighting a need for the industry to get organized. (Subscription: Miami Today)
3. The Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office says the alleged slapping incident involving Carlos Gimenez Jr. and Miami Commissioner Alex de la Portilla was so minor that the prosecution should not go forward. Gimenez was previously charged with one count of battery. (CBS Miami)
4. A 13-year-old boy catching lobsters with his family in the Florida Keys was bitten in the face by a nurse shark on July 27, multiple outlets reported. An expert says most shark bites are due to mistaken identity. (Miami Patch)
5. Several voters in Broward County are still waiting to receive their ballots with the primary election just weeks away. Broward Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott has acknowledged an issue with addressed mixed up in the county and is working to correct the issue. (WPLG Local 10)

- Prosecutors allowed some survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting to leave the room before showing graphic videos and brought in therapeutic dogs, acknowledging that the videos could be traumatic as the penalty-phase trial for Nikolas Cruz continues. (WLRN)
