The woman-owned shop plans to reopen one block south in 2027, but faces months without a permanent home while trying to keep its staff together through temporary kitchens, pop-ups, or delivery options.
   

3. Ex-University of Miami doctor out on bond denies sexually assaulting students, calling allegations "slanderous" (cbsnews.com subscription) — A former University of Miami urologist, now out on bond, is denying accusations that he sexually assaulted medical students during his time at the school. Arrested at Miami International Airport and now under house arrest, he claims University of Miami records will clear him, while police continue investigating multiple alleged incidents dating back years that concern the campus medical community.
   

4. City says over 300 units renting illegally at Miami high-rise, but condo board disputes the claim (cbsnews.com) — City of Miami officials say more than 300 units at The Club at Brickell Bay are being used as unregistered short-term rentals, far above the 30 allowed, and have issued a cease-and-desist order. The condo board disputes the claim, has hired land-use attorneys, and is seeking a 90-day grace period, leaving Brickell residents and visitors uncertain about how rentals and building crowding will be handled.
   

5. Miami's old Playboy Mansion caught a millionaire's eye (latination.com) — A waterfront Miami mansion linked to the Playboy brand has reportedly sold for around $25 million, underscoring how luxury properties here keep smashing records. For Miami and Miami-Dade residents, the deal highlights how high-end buyers are driving up prestige and prices across the coastal market, reinforcing the region's status as a global magnet for ultra-wealthy investors.
