17-Year-Old Killed When SUV Overturns On US 19
A 17-year-old Spring Hill teen girl has died following a crash on U.S. 19 and Glen Lakes Boulevard.

SPRING HILL, FL -- A 17-year-old Spring Hill teen girl has died following a crash on U.S. 19 and Glen Lakes Boulevard.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:42 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 20-year-old Jarod Lucas Waters of Hudson was driving his 2001 Jeep Cherokee north on U.S. 19, approaching Glen Lakes Boulevard.
Waters' SUV was adjacent to a silver Volkswagen sedan that was also headed north on U.S. 19. Witnesses say the two vehicles were making erratic lane changes when Waters lost control of the Cherokee. The SUV spun around and then overturned, ejecting the passenger, Kendell Jordan Tucker, 17, of Spring Hill.

Tucker died at the scene. Waters was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point with serious injuries.
The Volkswagen made a U-turn at Glen Lakes Boulevard and then headed south on U.S. 19 away from the accident scene.
