2-Year-Old Port Richey Girl Dies After Falling Into Lake
The 2-year-old was transported to the hospital where she later died.

PORT RICHEY, FL β A 2-year-old has died after falling into a lake Sunday, March 11.
According to the Pasco County Sheriffβs Office, deputies and Pasco County Fire Rescue workers were called to 10215 Willow Drive in Port Richey around 12:49 p.m. after a toddler got out of the locked lanai at the back of the family home where she'd been playing.
Deputies say family members discovered her absence about three to five minutes later. The child's aunt found her in the lake and started CPR. Sheriff's deputies and Pasco Fire Rescue continued CPR as the toddler was taken to a local hospital. At one point, paramedics were able to regain a pulse as the child was flown to All Children's Hospital in Tampa, however, she died at the hospital.
