Applications Open For Pasco Small Business PPE Reimbursement

The program helps reimburse small businesses in Pasco County up to $1,000 for the cost of already purchased Personal Protective Equipment.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — The Pasco Board of County Commissioners is offering the Pasco CARES Small Business Personal Protective Equipment Reimbursement Program, a new program to help reimburse small businesses in Pasco County up to $1,000 for the cost of already purchased Personal Protective Equipment to combat the coronavirus.

This one-time assistance is now available to at least 1,000 small businesses on a first-come, first-served basis. Pasco County received funding for this program through the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security or CARES Act.

Business eligibility is based on the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program for coronavirus requirements. To qualify a business must be:

  • A for-profit, privately held small business that maintains a place of business in Pasco County established prior to March 1.
  • A small business with two to 50 employees.
  • A small business with the majority of its employees residing in Pasco County.

“Providing PPE for your staff and customers is an important step in helping prevent the spread of respiratory illness,” said Pasco County Emergency Management Director Andrew Fossa. “We appreciate our local businesses taking measures to proactively promote public health and wellness in our communities.”

The BCC appropriated $1 million to the Pasco CARES Small Business PPE Reimbursement program with a maximum amount of $1,000 per local business.
