Better Lock Your Car; Burglars Targeting Pasco Neighborhoods

Between 10:30 p.m., July 13 and 8:30 a.m., July 14, burglars hit a series of cars along Broken Bow Drive in Wesley Chapel. Four of the cars were left unlocked and the thieves made off with gift cards and loose change.

A resident interrupted an auto burglary in progress on July 15 at 3:30 a.m. at the Ashton Oaks Apartments, 11843 Faithful Way, New Port Richey.
The resident surprised four or five black men who were breaking into two cars at the apartment complex. The thieves fled when they spotted the resident and drove away in a blue Nissan Altima.

They turned up at the Reserve at Meadow Oaks in Hudson 15 minutes later and entered several unlocked cars there.
Burglars broke into nine cars in the Forest Hills subdivision in Holiday between 6 p.m., July 12 and 7 a.m., July 13.
Thieves targeted four vehicles on Baroque Drive, two on Bacardi Court, one on Silver Spur Drive, one on Swordbill Drive and one on Flora Avenue
Items stolen included a Garmin GPS, a cell phone, a fixed-blade knife, an orange leather purse and debit cards, which the thieves used to make purchases online, at Publix and at a Shell gas station.
