$2.7 Trillion industry, Healthcare to Wealthcare
The Affordable Healthcare Act is an issue that has split America, while you can see the good it does for millions it has a reverse effect on others.

Healthcare.... not something we always think about, like shoelaces if you don't have them wearing your shoes can be a challenge. Do you have car insurance, home owners insurance, flood insurance, life insurance, health insurance and the list goes on and on. Most insurance is easy to understand or at least figure out. You need enough insurance so if something happens you won't have to pay thousands out of pocket and you protect your assets. Pretty simple when you think about it. Then why is health insurance such a mess and why is there over 50 million Americans without it. Okay the Affordable Healthcare Act will put about 30 million more people on Medicaid but some of those already have insurance. So lets say 30 million people have health insurance that didn't, that's a great thing but what about the other 20 million and what about the millions who will lose their insurance as more companies move to part timers and independent contractors so they don't have to offer them insurance. It's already happening with companies like Domino's, Papa John's, Applebee's, Walmart and more. Let's take a quick look at Access, Cost and Quality. The average wait to see a PCP (Primary Care Physician) in the U.S. is 22 days and the 1 to 3 hrs in the waiting room. The average wait for Medicaid recipients to see a PCP is 4 to 5 weeks. My wife and I do a pretty good job of keeping our calendar updated but I don't ever remember scheduling when I was going to be sick. Urgent care or Walk in Clinics have an average waiting room time of 2 to 3 hrs and a cost of about $95 with insurance and ER's have an average wait time of 5 to 6 hrs and an average cost of $1200 if not admitted. From 2001 to 2011 27% of ER's closed and ER use rises 15% per year. Last year $68 Billion in unpaid ER visits and we're about to put 30 million more people on Medicaid and they average 3 to 4 visits to the ER yearly which is higher than the average person sees their PCP.
