Aromatherapy - Lavender Essential Oil

Aromatherapy with Lavender Essential Oil

History of Lavender Oil
Lavender
originated in the Mediterranean and still grows wild on hills and
mountains across southern Europe. The word lavender comes from the Latin
word "lavare" which means to wash. Lavender has been used for thousands
of years for many different reasons but primarily it was used as soap
and perfume. Lavender was also thought to ward off the evil eye, protect
against the plague and attract love.

Lavender remains a popular fragrant due to its fresh, clean scent.
It's used in many products such as soaps, detergents, shampoo, perfume
and candles. Pure essential lavender oil is the best to use mainly
because it has no added chemicals. There are many health benefits and
you will actually save money using lavender oil than if you buy
commercial products.

They can be used in numerous ways to treat skin complaints and conditions, once absorbed
into the bloodstream they can be beneficial to the circulatory system and
inhalation is an effective way to treat nose, throat and lung ailments and they
may be applied externally for stomach and digestive complaints.

the production of white blood cells, they can help prevent and treat infections
illness.

Be Careful when buying Aromatherapy Candles or Aromatherapy "labeled" Products.

There's no law or guidelines on the use of the term "aromatherapy" so
any manufacturer, even those that include synthetic ingredients in
their candles, can slap the word "aromatherapy" onto their label.  You
may see "Aromatherapy" in local retail stores.. most likely the products
are scented with synthetic fragrances, contain chemicals.

Holistic aromatherapy focuses and emphasizes the use of all natural ingredients
whenever possible. Most candles are not all natural, even if they are
marketed with the word aromatherapy.  Burn candles made with synthetic ingredients (or even natural ingredients with toxic compounds), and despite how pleasantly fragrant the air is that you breathe, you will still inhale toxins.
